Obituary of Marion Lorraine CARTER

CARTER: Marion (nee HIPKISS) - It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of our special mother at the P.R.H.C., Hospital Dr. site, Peterborough, on Tuesday December 7, 2004. Marion Carter, born July 30, 1933, of Buckhorn. Dearly loved and cherished by her children Helen (Jim), Suzanne (Brian), Michael (Carol) and Peter, as well as her grandchildren James, Leanne, Daniel, Rebecca and Seth. She was the rock of her family. Marion will be sadly missed by her sister Katherine (Jack), sisters-in-law Syrmo and Ann and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers William and Robert. Marion was a longtime employee of Simpson's in Toronto. She was an active member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Lakehurst since her retirement to Buckhorn in 1989. She will always be remembered for her love of life and her eagerness to share and enjoy the lighter side. Friends may call at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, Lakefield on Thursday December 9th, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Hendren Chapel on Friday December 10th, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Rev. William Baird officiating. Interment at Lakefield Cemetery.
