Wendy, Scott, Dean and Kent: I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Glenn will be sadly missed. Glenn was always easy to talk to and was always upbeat. I always enjoyed the times I spend with him when he was in the Sault Ste. Marie area. I still remember the week we spent at your cottage so many years ago, we all had a wonderful time. I also remember the time he was in Sault when I was 17, he was going to take a side trip to Chapleau to visit Mom and Dad. He took me along and let me drive the standard all the way. Thinking of You Chris and Leslie Marsh

Wendy, I know that words can do little to help you through this time, but please know that you are in my thoughts. Glenn was a great guy, and I know he was a favorite of both Kiel and Glen. I'll miss him at the Winds, and I hope we'll see you down in Sarasota soon. ...George

Dear Wendy, We wish to extend our deepest sympathy on your loss. Glenn was a wonderful man and a dear friend. I especially remember how he always went out of his way to thank me for any article that I wrote for the Tale Winds and the up-north address list. Also, he knew what brand of golf ball we each played with and made it a point to bring it over to us when he found one. He was so thoughtful that way. He will be missed. We hope to see you in Sarasota this winter. Love, Ellie and Ed

I started as a volunteer in the Riverview School library when my youngest son started kindergarten. Glenn was very helpful and kind, especially with my older son who was always getting into trouble. My 3 kids loved him.

to the family of Mr Glenn Wood I was a student of the old Lachine High on 36th avenue in 1950-52, Mr wood was a real leader and ahead of the times. Every one had to participate in all gym activities no matter their skill level ie., inter class basketball, floor hockey and track and field etc.Even today, almost 60 years later i can still see Mr Wood walking down the outside center stairs on the palms of his hands with his brief case being held by his teeth. My sincerest condolences to Mrs Wood and all the family Warren McCunn, Chateauguay, Quebec

Dear Wendy and family, We send our deepest sympathies to you all at this difficult time. We all loved Glenn. He was the best neighbour one could ever want and helped make Horseshoe Island the special place that it was. He was such a wonderful person and friend. We will miss him greatly too, but know that he's led such a fine, full life and been such an inspiration for us and so many. Hope to see you all again in the summer if not before. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Barbara and Clyde and family

Hi Wendy, Scott and Kent, It has been a long time but I heard about Glenn's (Mr. Woods back then) illness from Dorthy Derry over Christmas. My memories go back a long time and to when I first met you when we lived on Senecal, in LaSalle, and my Mom was the school secretary. I can still recall that, even though I was in High School, it was a little intimidating to have a principal in my house. That feeling did not last long. Whether it was a Manitou Open or visiting for dinner, I absolutely enjoyed it when the Wood's were around. My Auntie Ruth Nickle, from Winnipeg, is now ninety-four and remembers you well. With fond memories from me, and one of my Mom and Dad's best friends, the Pate's wish you well. Howard

Mr.Wood was my principal from K-6 (Riverview School in Verdun)and a very strong influence in my life. He was so supportive, funny and yes, very strict. He left an impression on me- he, along with some special teachers, gave me inspiration to not only be a better student, but to become a teacher myself. I have taught for almost 25 years and now homeschool my children. I just wanted to pay my respects to Mr.Wood's family and to let them know that his life touched many and that he will be remembered always. Thank you Mr.Wood - you are in my prayers...
