My parents owned the cottage next door to Elmer for 20 years and over that time we came to know him as a good and caring neighbour. My son loved to fish and would always present the larger catches of the day to Elmer who would graciously thank him and then give him some bait so that he could go and catch more! Elmer will always be fondly remembered in our cottage memories.

Dear Paulette and Kevin, I was sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad was such a nice man. My sympathies to you and your families. I'm sure that he will be missed by many, but that he leaves behind some very special memories. My parents always spoke so fondly of your mom and dad, and of the great times that they shared together. Warmest regards, Kathy House

Paulette, Kevin and families, Elmer was such a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to have known him. Elmer was an inspiration to all who knew him, could always bring out the good in folks, and never stopped learning new things. The below quote made me think of Elmer. Love, hugs and blessings - Ron, Deb and Cory When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, I used everything you gave me. ~Erma Bombeck

We had the privilege of having Elmer as our Cottage Neighbor for 21 years. A nicer Gentleman we have never met. We are sorry that we did not hear of Elmer's passing until it was too late to attend the service. We offer our condolences to his family.
