Condolences to the Manning Family in particular Millie, Randy, Rick and Don. A great man with a quick sense of humour (as did his wife). Took me to my first lacrosse game and played many a game in their back yard.

Our condolences to the Manning family in this time of loss. As neighbours for these last 10 yrs there was always time for a chat when Buck was out cutting the grass. Always ready with a smile and wave - what a nice man he was. We will miss seeing him out and about taking such pride in his home.

Growing up on the street, I have many memories of Buck but I think the most vivid was when he used to be on the unofficial hill patrol. Every night of freezing rain would find Buck and the other men armed with shovels and sand and their muscles helping cars make it up that hill and down the road. One Christmas Eve my family had headed off to church and by the time we came home the road was slick as ice and all the cars (no front wheel drive then) slipping and sliding around. One man would be at the top of the hill holding back the cars there while Buck and my Dad were trying valiantly to get the car up the hill. NO such luck....and soon there were a pile of cars parked at the firehall and a steady trail of neighbours trying to walk up the icy slopes. I don't know how many hours Buck would be out there, but he was there without fail...doing the right thing and being a great neighbour. He was one of the last ones on the road left from the original generation of vets. I'll miss him!
