Obituary of Kaye THOMSON

THOMSON: Kaye (nee Hillen, Peterson) Peacefully at her home on Sunday May 7, 2006. Kaye Thomson of Peterborough, formerly of Lakefield, in her 84th year. Loved and missed by her daughter Shirley Richardson (Bob) of Etobicoke. Also missed by her sister and phone buddy Pat Enright of Saskatoon, her sisters-in-law June and Lil Hillen and her brother-in-law Clarence Peterson (Marie). Survived by several nieces and nephews. Also loved by her step-children Anne Thomson (Peter Kemp), Alan (Jackie) Thomson, Lynne Thomson (Randall Hanes), Leisa Thomson (Steve Brown) and step-grandchildren Aerin & David Kemp, Drew and Ian Thomson and Chloe Hanes. Predeceased by her first husband Lyle Peterson, her second husband Gordon Thomson, daughter Colleen Peterson, three brothers and one sister. Much loved adopted mother to Jeanine Hollingshead and Quartette - Sylvia Tyson, Caitlin Hanford, Cindy Church and Gwen Swick. A Celebration of Kaye's life will be held at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Lakefield, on Tuesday May 16, 2006 at 12:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. A reception will follow in the Marshland Centre, Lakefield. Memorial donations may be made to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society or the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award (through the Ontario Arts Council) as expressions of sympathy.
