Hey Bill
We had a good time shopping in TO at, or near the opening of the mall near Dufferin and Hwy. 40l.
You convinced me to buy those buffalo-leather shoes; good price, didn't fit well, after a few forays, they were specular, but tooooooo tight!
I think of you often; I remember you well..

Dear Madeleine, Barb and family, So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. The last time we saw him was a few years ago at a family reunion at Stoney Lake. He had brought along his pup and it was easy to see the bond between them. One of my earliest memories of Bill was his water skiing performance at Expo '67! I remember how excited & proud mom and Aunt Addie were that day. They had lots of stories about Bill and various cousins antics when they were younger, but being only 7 at the time I wasn't privey to them all! May you have many happy memories of Bill to ease your hearts at this time. Sending our condolences to you, cousin Anne.

I knew Bill many years ago at PCVS & the YMCA swim team with Gord Minty. Bill was a fantastic athlete in all sports. His gymnastic "no-fear" style combined with his natural skiing ability made him the earliest and best. After Bill went to Europe, we all lost touch. I had only met Bill once or twice over the many years at Bakers cottage where many of the old group occasionally got together. It is sad to think that an old friend has died in almost complete silence. Perhaps it is fitting when one reflects on the peom, "the lads in the hundreds" . Bill did a lot in his shortened life.
