Obituary of Darren James Fife

Fife: Darren James: Of Kitchener, Ontario and formerly of the Peterborough area passed peacefully with loved ones by his side on October 1, 2014, aged 48 years. Beloved partner of Krista Bruce, dear son of Shirley Kiley, cherished father of Darren Joel (D.J.) and Jaime (children with Shelley Knott Fife), much loved brother to David Fife, Daniel Fife (Carole), Jay Kiley (Abby), David Muter and Kirk Muter (Corrie), and nephew to Betty Sloan (Rick) and ‘Margie’ Schneider (Peter). Darren is also fondly remembered by several cousins and many nieces and nephews. Darren is predeceased by father Donald Fife and stepmother Mary. Darren began his working career as a Firefighter on the Cutter Valiant in the United States of America’s Coast Guard and later served as a volunteer Firefighter with the Selwyn Ennismore Lakefield Volunteer Firefighter Service. Darren will be remembered as an employee of Square D/Schneider Electric, Waterloo and of Pioneer Park Resort in the Kawarthas. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Darren’s life with his family at either the Curve Lake United Church, Curve Lake, Ontario on Saturday, October 4, 2014 with visitation at 10:30 am and service at 11:00 am, or in Kitchener, Ontario at The Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:30 pm. A reality is that long illnesses incur high non-insured medical expenses.
