Obituary of Dorothy Alice Ashton

ASHTON: Dorothy Alice Passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on Saturday November 15, 2014, in her 92nd year. Dorothy worked for S.S. Kresge for 20 years before working for the Solicitor General’s Office as a Purchasing Officer for the O.P.P for 25 years. Loved and missed by her sister Dorothy Strongitharm. Predeceased by her brother Harold Ashton (Lena) and sisters Ethel Ashton, Stella Ashton and Pearl Fry (Joe). Survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen St., Bobcaygeon, on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service. A reception will follow at the funeral home. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice as expressions of sympathy.
