Our grandpa is sadly missed, and our family appreciates all the kindness and friendships our grandparents have had over the years. We are all blessed to have had such a wonderful man in our lives. Grandpa was always smiling, always had a twinkle in his eye and was ready with a joke. He always loved to have his family around, He lived life in a way we all should. Peacefully with friends and family, on the lake, enjoying the simple things in life like friendships, family, fishing, golfing, cigars, and laughs. Grandpa is painfully missed by us all. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and thoughts.

To Ruth and family,
We are so very sorry to hear of Bert's passing. He was such an important part of keeping our Legion going strong (and keeping us warm). We have not forgotten. A number of our ladies have known him for many years while others know him only through you Wendy at our social functions where he always had a ready smile which we will miss so much.
Rest in peace Bert.

I had the pleasure to know Bert for the last two years. Myself and team have learned so much from Bert and we are all better people for knowing him.
I have personally learned how important family is and that they are to always be #1 in your life. I aspire to be a man like Bert, who loves his Wife, loves his family, and above all was a true gentlemen day after day.
Thank you Bert for the example you have shown to so many. I look forward to seeing you again one day and sharing a cigar and a laugh.
