I was sad to learn about the passing of Alda. She was a joy to talk to and always an inspiration. Over the years of baseball and hockey games, talking to Alda was a good memory. Bobcaygeon people that knew her will certainly miss her, as will her family.

My mother was very pleased to have been speaking with Aunt Alda on her birthday this year. Aunt Alda was such a strong and amazing lady, she will be missed by many. I had so many laughs and fond memories growing up and going to "Bingo" with her and my Grandmother. On behalf of my family, George & Yvonne Morren, my spouse Dan, and my children Marcus and Ruby, we were very sad to hear of her passing and send our love to all.

Alda was truly a beloved friend of mom's (Jean Stewart) and since the 1960's a reliable and routine part of the household at 278 Bick St. We looked forward to her Wednesday visits after which Jean's house sparkled for yet another week. Fifty years later on a windy day we enjoyed her company on a Sturgeon Lake history tour on the Kawartha Spirit, showing her own interest in her lifelong surroundings and in her friends and fellow passengers still thriving.
The Ashton family (of Ohio and long ago Pavilion Rd.) and Doris Parker add their appreciation of Alda with their regards to the family. Lauramae Cunniffe sends her condolences especially to Annette. We have all enjoyed Alda as a very special friend over the years.

There are no words to describe the pain of losing such an amazing lady as Mrs.K
she became a second grandma to the boys(Aubrey,Patrick) and we will miss her a great deal.
Alda lived her life being generous and loving too whom ever crossed her path she gave of herself and expected nothing in return, the memories we have of the time we spent with her and the whole Kimble clan are to great to mention. Bobcaygeon has lost a very special lady. To all the Kimble's not that she didn't tell you all the time you were her life and she was always very proud of everyone one of you and she always felt your love!

Dear Kimble family:
Just saw and talked to Alda in the last couple of months and talked about her only a few weeks ago. Why can't the good ones live forever? She was an interesting and kind lady, always so interested in your family and wondered what they were all up to. I can't imagine the loss her family must be feeling at the moment. This week there is another bright star shining in the night sky. I can’t imagine anyone thinking of Alda Kimble and not smiling. The words gracious, kind, loving and strength come to mind whenever I think of her. Annette, Mark and Kass, we want to thank you for introducing your Mother/Grandmother to us and bringing her into our lives. Both Steve and I feel we are better people for having met this extraordinary beautiful lady. Thankfully, our memories are ours to have forever; she will never be forgotten. I spoke to Mom on Christmas Day, she told me of the passing of your Mom. I am so sorry that you have lost your Mom. Reading her Obituary was so moving, she was such a loveable Grand Lady. Alda was one of the most wonderful ladies I have ever known. I grew up just down the road from the Kimble homestead and had many occasions to be involved with various members of the Kimble clan. Alda always had a smile on her face, was a stalwart hockey fan and the last time I met her at the Bobcaygeon fair, still called me Billy. She was a strong, brave, good hearted individual who raised a wonderful family. I met her walking downtown a few hundred times over the last 60 years or so and countless times asked her if she needed a ride..her reply was always..no thanks, walking is extremely healthy. I think she just did not want to have anyone go out of their way to help her. She will be missed and our thoughts go out to the entire Kimble family. R.I.P. Alda..

This special woman was our Mother Teresa. She welcomed everyone into her home , and to her table. Alda is famous for her outreach actions.
Every child was special to Alda. Never did I ever hear her whine or complain about anything or anyone. I can also commend her great memory.
We all need an example to model our lives by. Alda would
be an excellent choice.

My heartfelt condolences to Alda's family. My Mother, Helen (Moffatt) Peters and Alda went to Lamb's Public School together and were lifelong friends. Anytime I was at the Arena or Ball Diamond, I always looked around for Alda. Bobcaygeon has lost a great supporter of the community and she will be sorely missed by all.
