Ray Hickling of Bobcaygeon, formerly of Oakville, in his 86th year, passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday January 9, 2015. Dearly loved and missed by his devoted wife of 63 years, Nancy Hickling and by his daughters Ann Adare (Paul) of Burlington and Barbara Hickling (Kent Price) of Toronto. Dear grandfather of Jason McDonald (Philippa Joly), Robyn Capretta (Brandon), Erica, Holly and Amy Price, and great-grandfather of Kourtney, Ryder and Breaca. Survived by his brothers Harold Hickling of Barrie, Cecil Hickling of Toronto and by his sisters-in-law Alice and Nancy Hickling. Predeceased by his brothers Charlie (Elsie), Gordon and Doug Hickling, and by sisters-in-law Muriel and Betty. Prior to retiring to Bobcaygeon Ray spent the majority of his working career as Vice President of Finance at Ferro Industrial Products in Oakville. Ray will be remembered for his generous heart, his kind and gentle manner, and his unwavering devotion and love for his family. Ray displayed amazing grace during his struggle with Parkinson’s. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen St., Bobcaygeon of Thursday January 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place spring 2015.
