Marion Ruth Luella Jay born in 1933 to Luella (MacPherson) and Reverend Charles Jay. Sister of Douglas (Ruth) and Donald (Chris), best friend and sister of Evelyn (George) Mugford and Dorothy (Ken) Atwood.
She was the love of husband David's life and constant companion for 62 years; wonderful mother to Ted Jay Reeve (Audrey Bayens), Allan David Reeve (Lynn Smith) and Marilou Ellen Reeve (David Sherwin).
Grandma and Nana to 8 wonderful precious gems: Jessica, Matthew, Diane, Alana, David, Daniel, Miriam and Zoe.
A pianist, teacher and maker of homes, Marion sang beautifully in many church choirs. She had an unshakeable faith in Christ and was resilient in the face of much physical pain. Marion faced her challenges with a quick wit and common sense. She had the rare gift of always knowing the right thing to say, including "follow your heart".

Dearest David, Allan, Lynn, Mari Lou and all the Family,
We send our deepest sympathy and condolences on the passing of dear Marion. She was such a dear friend, valiant warrior both in dealing with her pain and in being constant in prayer. She always thought of others and put their welfare before her own. She cared deeply and loved much. What a wonderful example she was to all of us in being faithful no matter the situation or circumstance. I will miss her lovely warm smile, her cheery greeting and her wise counsel.
I am so sorry to be away at the present time and to not be able to be with you all through these early days of grief and loss. I will be in touch in April and plan a visit then.
Much love,
Carol
