Dear Marilyn, Eric, Linda, Steven, Ruth, and Deanna: It's a sad time, losing a parent - Deanna, you already know this. Your father/grandfather was the greatest comfort to me when Bill died - he seemed to understand better than all else what I was going through. I wish I could say something to comfort you in these coming days, but all I can think of is, I'm very sorry for your loss. You have many memories to share with each other because Clifford was with you for so long. Believe me, those are precious. Hold on to these, be available to each other, and know that, eventually, time will turn tears of sadness into joyous memories of the good times.
