Obituary of Joseph Denton Thompson

THOMPSON, JOSEPH DENTON SEPTEMBER 1, 1931 – FEBRUARY 21, 2015 Went peacefully to join his wife Marj and son Jeff. He was ready for the journey without fear. Loving father to Don and his wife Pat and Louise and her husband Chris Vine. Grandfather to Jay Thompson (Tracey), Krista Thompson, Phil Hayford (Jackie), Ryan Hayford (Amanda) and Laura Hayford. Great Grandfather to Paityne, Noah and Mya. He will be missed by his sister Hazel Rogers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Allen and Martha Thompson, brothers Lloyd and Richard, sisters Alma, Amy and Shirley. Joe appreciated all the support from friends and family during his illness. His humour, kindness and strength carried him through until the end. He will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES-MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 and from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Chapel. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Room.
