Obituary of David Charles Garbutt

GARBUTT, David Charles “Dave” – Passed away peacefully with family by his side at St Joseph’s at Fleming Peterborough on Sunday April 26, 2015 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Dunford) for 61 wonderful years. Loving father of Jeffrey Garbutt (Faye) of Keene and Kathy Hope (Richard) of Indian River. Caring Grandfather of Amber, Jade (Mark), Richard Garbutt, Kyle Hope and Brooke Austin (Tyler). Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Gladys and brothers Donald (Gladys), Ivan and Gordon. Survived by his sister-in-law Judy Garbutt. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and neighbours. Dave’s fellowship will also be missed by his many tractor and gas engine buddies. A Funeral Service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM with visitation to commence at 11:00 AM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity most meaningful to the donor.
