Obituary of Robert John Rourke

ROURKE, Robert John “Bob” – Retired employee of the Toronto Transit Commission. Passed away at Extendicare, Peterborough on Sunday May 31, 2015. Bob Rourke of Peterborough, formerly of Toronto in his 88th year. Husband of the late Marjorie (nee MacDonald, d. 1987). Dad will always be loved and remembered by Mary Spiring (Neil) of Little Britain, Debbie Karpenko (Allen) of Buckhorn and Rob Rourke (Heather) of Toronto. Beloved grandpa of Eric (Tracey), Kelly (Aaron), Sean (Chantal), Andrew, Wayne (Sandi) and Lindsay and great grandpa of Abby, Tommy, Alexis and Khloe. Also remembered by his sisters Kathy Fissel (Ed), Eileen Achtymichuk and Bev Pawulski (Bert) and by his several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Laura and Joan and by brothers Willie and Doug. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the Heritage Room of THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Saturday June 13, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, with memories to be shared at 2:30 PM.
