I was shocked and saddened to hear of Tim's passing. I worked with Tim in the Safe Drinking Water Branch of the Ministry of the Environment. Tim was a helpful, welcoming and talented individual that I truly enjoyed working with. I wish to offer my condolences to Tim's family and I share the sadness felt by Tim's many friends.

Tim
I remember moving in on Kempster with my mother and you lived across the street. It wasn't long until we were introduced, I was maybe 7 or 8 and you were in your thirties. Growing up without a father I quickly looked up to you as a big brother. You took me to so many things, whether it was assisting you with all your water testing locations on weekends, going to Montreal for the first time for Formula 1 racing weekend or Bancroft and meeting your sister, and then your father and mother. Another one of my favourite things we did was biking. You would take me out for my first trail rides and I quickly fell in love with it. I find myself riding my bike these days and feeling like you are riding with me still. I wish after 14 years of not seeing you I could have met up with you and rode some trails together one last time. I know you are up in heaven and I only ask you to keep all those you love safe. You will forever be in my heart.

To Tim's loved ones, I am very sorry for your loss of Tim.
I always found Tim to be a smart, funny, helpful and friendly guy. When I was starting at the MOE, Tim was the first person I met - on a Saturday picking up trash at Jackson Creek park, him, me and my dogs. He is gone way too soon, so sorry.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole O'Brien family!
I went to public school with Tim in Coehill. I also have great memories of growing up with Tim in my childhood.
I worked with Tim on the Ministry of Natural Resources in 1976 and 1977 at Silent Lake Provincial Park!
I will try to make the funeral tomorrow if possible? I will always keep and cherish memories of knowing Tim throughout my life!
I have not seen him in many years, however I thought a lot of Tim !

It is a shock & great regret that I learned of Tim's untimely passing. I knew him as a valued colleague through his work at the MOE & me with the health unit working together on public water system issues.
Tim became a valued source of wisdom for me, but equally as important, he was always a true gentleman to all & a friend to me. He gave graciously of his knowledge & time. His example is one that we all could aspire to. I shall miss him truly. My sincere condolences to all his family & friends.

Lorna and extended family,
My heart is so saddened for your loss. Tim was a very kind person and though I didn't know him very well I will always appreciate his kind words and thoughtfulness towards Gord (Earnshaw) while he was in the hospital and up until and after Gords passing. I pray for special blessings for your family and friends at this time. There are no words to comfort you and take away your pain. Cherish your memories for no one can ever take those from you.
