Obituary of Ross William Irwin

IRWIN, Ross William – Co-Founder of The Irwin Inn Resort Passed away peacefully at Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood on Wednesday July 22, 2015. Ross Irwin of Norwood in his 101st year. Beloved husband of 74 years to Norma Blanche (nee Crowe). Loving father of Garry Irwin (Ann) of Norwood, MaryAnne Irwin (Nancy) of Peterborough and Dennis Irwin (Patti) of Stoney Lake. Grandpa will always be loved and remembered by Glenn, Stephen, Brent (Jamie), Jaimey (Tina), Rob (Julie) and Andrew (Lindsey) and great grandchildren Emily, Sarah, Liam, Brennen, Avery, Rowan, Lachlan, Gavin and Marlies. Also survived by his sister Ada Knapton and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Ethel Irwin and by his 11 siblings. In April many friends and family gathered to celebrate Ross’ 100th birthday and 74 years of marriage to his beloved Norma. In view of this, a private family funeral has been arranged by THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL.
