Obituary of Adriana Lydia Wilkins

WILKINS, Adriana Lydia- Adriana (Ada) Wilkins was surrounded by her family when she passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Saturday September 26, 2015. Ada was very proud of her children, Emily and Ben, who along with her family and many friends provided amazing support during her difficult battle over the past six months. Ada and her husband Graham are very grateful for the kind and caring support that Ada received from the doctors, nurses and staff at the Cancer and Palliative Care Clinics at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, with particular thanks to Doctors Jeyabalan and Mallory and the nurses and staff at the Chemotherapy Ward. Ada and her husband Graham enjoyed 31 wonderful years together as parents, business partners, exercise and travel companions. Ada was proud to own and operate a successful business in the Lakefield community that gave her the opportunity to get to know so many people as both friends and customers. Ada was also very grateful that operating her business allowed her to support so many worthy local causes and activities. Ada’s enthusiasm, energy and radiance will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 2, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church, Lakefield, at 11:00 AM. Cremation. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Society as expressions of sympathy.
