Obituary of Margaret Davidson Motzok

MOTZOK, Margaret Davidson (nee Winton) – July 17, 1917 - October 24, 2015 Born a Canadian citizen in Edinburgh, Scotland. She grew up in Ottawa, Kingston and Guelph, Ontario where she was a long time resident. She spent WW#II working for the Dept. of External Affairs in the old east block of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. She liked to joke that her claim to fame during those days was that she once shared her lunch with Lester B. Pearson. In 1948 she quit to marry her beloved husband Ilary and settling down in Guelph. She was predeceased by him, as well as her two brothers Jim (Lorna) and George (Bev). She is survived by her son Alex (Gail) and numerous nieces and nephews. For many years she was a proud and active member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Guelph. It was her wish to be cremated with no funeral service and have her ashes mixed with those of her husband near the Trent Waterway they came to love. Special thanks to the staff at Wellington Park Terrace in Guelph where she spent 5 excellent years among many of her friends, as well as to the staff at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon where she spent her final 3 years and whose special care made her feel welcome and loved. Friends may send condolences by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, MONK CHAPEL at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-738-3222.
