My sincerest condolences to all family and friends of Jesse!
I know only too well that no words are enough to lessen the pain , though I hope that knowing that we care and send love and offer our support will help make it a little more bearable.
I will always remember Jesse's charming smiling face and his skills on horseback as at Lindsay Horseman's as a young rider. He was well respected and always a gentleman to deal with then and as a skilled professional.
Unfortunately too many of us have lost loved ones far too soon and we know the devastating effects of the collateral damage . I want you to know you are not alone and there are many of us who understand the wilderness you are going through, even though each story and journey may be very different . Please do not hesitate to call or contact me if you need anything, want support , resources, or just a compassionate and understanding ear. Dear Kristin and Wesley,
I am heartbroken to hear the news about Jesse. He has been my farrier for many years now, but I feel like we became friends in that time too.
I know that we have never met before, but I feel like I know you well from the stories that Jesse shared with me through the years.
I still remember my last conversation with him as though it was yesterday. I will cherish it forever. I never dreamed that it would be my last time seeing him.
Jesse was a rare breed. He was an amazing person. They don't make them like that anymore. I only wish that Jesse could have known the impact that he had on so many people.

My husband Richard and I were were so deeply saddened to learn of Jesse's death. We always looked forward to his visits, and he was just so wonderful at his craft. Jesse always spoke lovingly of his wife and son, and he and my husband would discuss the various house projects they had been working on. He had a beautiful smile and a quick wit. I will be forever grateful for the kindness and gentle ways he had with our horses....especially our 26 year old quarter horse. Jesse always called him "old timer" and took extra time and care with him...I remember once seeing Jesse just standing beside the old horse, and they stood together for quite a while. I asked him if everything was okay , and he said yes, he was just giving the horse some time....and that was exactly what the "old timer" needed. He was so respectful of the animals, and we will never forget him.

Jesse had a way of making me feel that my horses were perfect, and important to him. I suspect he made everyone feel that way! He was a pleasure to be around as he multi-tasked with a hoof cradled on his knee, shoe nails stuck to his chaps, wielding his hammer as he carried on a conversation. He was fast and efficient, yet he never seemed to rush, especially with babies. His patience made even animals love him.
I learned a great deal about how to "win over" young horses from Jesse. I always looked forward to his punctual arrival to shoe my horses, and share a story or two. If only he could know how much he gave to everyone. If only...

I remember playing basketball with Jesse in high school, and particularly how nice he was to everyone regardless of skill or ability. He was always so kind to others. I am deeply saddened and shocked by this news. Jesse however will always be remembered to me by his smile and his passion for his work! I remember having fun at Beatties in Port Perry. I remember his laugh. That's the Jesse I will always remember and cherish. The strong soul who did his best to be positive despite what he was going through inside, married his best friend and together had a handsome little man. Jesse touched so many lives while he was here. He was a great man who will be missed
