My hope has risen to surface and ministers to me, as I trust will minster to you who are missing Janna, Mom, Oma, sister, friend!
As with most of us who knew Janna, I say what didn't we pray for, like...
jobs,houses built and completed,renovations by the score, cottages,babies to be had,healed,adopted,saved, restored,Holland,Jamica, Haitii, Scotland, missionaries, school completed, diplomas , graduations, degrees, salvations,vehicles,road trips,vacations,grandkids,chuches, small group bible studies, deaf ears opened, crippled legs made strong,family matters over seas/Canada/USA.
And these are just a few matters we prayed for, at times on our knees in the bean patch,via phone calls or email over my 30 year stint with her and her loved ones! I am glad my history includes Janna Brinkman!

I wanted to take a moment and give tribute to a beautiful lady who loved the Lord. I was my pleasure to have Neal and Janna in my congregation for 8 yrs. They travelled with me on many occasions on missions trips to Trinidad. Janna truly had a heart for Jesus and for the kingdom of God. She used her talents in wood working and her courage to share the gospel wherever she went. We know she is in Glory, but we mourn with the family at her absence here. Cheryl and I wanted to extend our sympathy to Neal and the whole family, and want you to know our prayers for you at the service and in the coming days for God's peace. I am currently in another country on a missions trip, but my heart is with you today. May God's love pour over you even now.

My condolences and I am certain the condolences of the many good friends that Janna made when part of Rhema Christian School in Peterborough. A dedicated home-schooling mom, who when David expressed a desire to be in school in his later elementary years, spent two school years driving from Apsely to Peterborough. Her dedication to her children is a tribute to her faithfulness as a Mom and as a Christian. We were lucky to be able to share part of Janna's life. She gave so freely of here time and ideas and was an enormous addition to the Kawartha Woodturners Guild as a board member and constructive critic.
Janna never raised an issue that did not come with a suggestion or approach to a solution.

A woman whom I admired and had, and in some ways, just begun to really get to know. There ARE some moments in everyone's faith, I suspect, that we bow or shake our head and cry out, "Oh Lord, what on Earth were you thinking." Upon hearing this news this was one of those times fully realizing that the Lord does not cause these events... yet allows them. Janna's faith and service were unquestionable. This event, not so much so. Regardless, praise to the Lord for the gift of Janna to us all.
Prayers for Neal and the entire family and community. I regret that I am unable to attend Janna's funeral but shall pay my respects shortly in Apsley.

Janna was very much a part of and a strength of the Kawartha Woodturners Guild. She contributed in so many ways, from taking on responsibilities for our Christmas ornament initiatives and club competitions to bringing in for show her many unique woodturnings. She has always been one person we could count on and we were very pleased to have her on our Board this year. She will be sorely missed by the woodturning community.
