Obituary of Ralph Charles Beavis
BEAVIS: Ralph C.
July 21, 1922 – March 22, 2016
Passed away peacefully at his home, with his family close by, in his 94th year. Ralph was a well respected, people loving person who was a lifetime Lakefield resident. He was raised on a farm in Smith Township, worked for Prudential Insurance and together with his wife Bernice owned Beavis Meat Market. He was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman. Lovingly missed by the love of his life, Bernice Beavis (Slater), whom he was married to for 66 years. Survived by his son Ralph (Tracey) and daughter Shelly Kocjan (Ed). Much missed “Pa” of Troy, Alyssa Banks (Mike), Brock (Mandy) and Lukas, and great grandfather of Harvey Banks. Predeceased by his brother Ken (Elmarie). Cremation has taken place. Private family arrangements entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. In memory of Ralph, donations may be made to Community Living Peterborough “Home of Our Own Wish Fund”, supporting housing and independent living for individuals with an intellectual disability, or to the charity of one’s choice.
