I only just found out about Jim's passing, nearly a year after the fact; I was informed by my ex-wife, Janet--we were both good friends of Jim in the late 1970s. Jim was, quite frankly, the best friend I ever had--genuine, down-to-earth, caring, kind, always willing to go out of his way to help. I loved him like a brother; as well, I grew to consider his family--his mom, his dad, his sisters Judy and Polly, and his brother Eddy--as my second family. Jim and I found each other in grade 7 and, while occasionally getting into mischief, we kept each other out of serious trouble for years. He was my Brother from Another Mother and I'll always remember the great times we had.
