Theo hired me when i was 17 years old to work on the farm. This was back when all his kids were still really young . Chantel was just 10. I remember them all as if it was yesterday. I'm writing because i just found out today ( almost 4 years later) that my friend Theo passed. Although I havn't seen him since 2008, the last time we spoke it was like no time had passed at all. He gave me so many life long gifts the summer i worked for him. He taught me how to haggle. He taught me how to ride a motorcycle. He gave me the freedom to work around the farm and make mistakes without judgment. He even showed me how to hypnotize a chicken ( no one believes it until they see it). He taught me how to hold a beer properly ( yes its important). But most importantly of all he taught me how to show compassion to all living things. So many stories. Suffice it to say that I've met thousands of people in my life to date and i can say with a high degree of certainty...Theo was a great man . I'll miss him dearly. My condolences to his family.
