Geordie was full of many bright colours and full of life. He will be missed immensely.
I am thankful I was able to attend today and pay my respects. Life is permanently changed without the presence of George Buchanan, what a great man.
RIP
Stephanie

Dear Ann and Senga I am so sorry for your loss Geordie was a great guy. I first remember meeting Geordie at the V+A with my brother Kevin and I will always be grateful for him hiring me in the North York Board of Education, we had some great banter about Rangers and Celtic. When I got hired full time I remember Geordie saying Ha McNamee got you into a blue shirt. Keeping you and Geordie in my thoughts and Prayers. Sincerely Brian McNamee

Anne and Senga,
Please accept our condolences. We were so saddened when we learned of George's passing.
Growing up on Deveron Street I have a lot of fun memories and usually George was in tthe middle of them
One night John and I were sleeping in the back room, I was in the top bunk and John in the bottom one, George had the single bed on the other wall. Well George was always very active whether awake or sleeping.
A loud clattering sound woke me and there was George trying to climb out the window, 2nd floor.
John and I grabbed him and yelled and Granpa came in just in time as we were losing our grip.
George woke up, he thought he was on maneuvers with the Territorial Army :-)
I am so sad but glad that he did not have to suffer too long.
God bless.
George and Cheryle Buchanan

Susan and Family,
Please know that all Geordie's old friends and Comrades down at the Legion have you in our thoughts and prayers. Geordie brought a lot of joy to everyone not only with music but also as a kind and pleasant gentleman who never spoke ill of anyone. May the Lord be with you in the difficult times ahead and all the good memories help to bring you strength.
Dave Boak, President - RCL Bobcaygeon.

Dearest Ann and Senga and Buchanan Clan
I am at a loss for words and as my mind sifts through all the happy memories of Geordie I look upon his picture here and cannot believe he has passed.
A brilliant shining light has gone out and I feel truly blessed to have been his friend for 32 years.
Geordie and I each year raced to see who would get their Christmas card out to each other the fastest. As a co-worker he was wonderful and made the worst days seem like fun. As a friend and mentor he was caring and patient and his laughter would warm your heart.
We will see you Friday.
Linda, Mark and Mair

So difficult to find adequate words to express the heartbreak at losing such a kind hearted man and truly treasured Uncle. Going back to the days as a young boy holding his hand on the way to see one of the movies he loved taking his young nieces and nephews to shortly after his arrival in Canada through to spending time on his deck as an adult sharing a social beverage and addressing the worlds problems, the memories bring tears through smiles. A man of many talents, strong in his convictions and so proud of his family history, he will forever be in our hearts. Grieving that he is gone but so proud he was a part of our lives.
