Gordon, James Douglas The family of James Douglas Gordon is saddened to announce his passing on Sunday September 25, 2016 at P.R.H.C. after a brief illness. James Gordon was in his 84th year. Family enjoyed special remembrances with him at his bedside before his passing. Predeceased by his loving wife Ruth Anne, and his brother Tom Gordon. Survived by his children Angela (partner Don) Miller, Tracey (Tim) Purdy, Kim Taylor, and James (Monique) Gordon. Missed by his grandchildren Aaron, Kyle (Brittany), Jeff, Cameron, Amber, Autumn, Abby, Charlise, Caitlyn, Jesse, and great-grandson Mathew. Remembered by his brother Bill (Carol) Gordon, sister-in-law Carolyn (Neil) Dennison, brother-in-law Ron Junkin, and his nieces and nephews. James had a long active military career serving peace keeping missions and logging many hours at CFB Moose Jaw with the aerobatic flying team The Snowbirds as a safety instructor. A visitation will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon on Monday October 3, 2016 at 2:00PM. A celebration of life will take place at the funeral home at 3:00PM. Following the service an Interment will take place at Verulam Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Canadian Diabetes Association as expressions of sympathy.
