COSTAIN: Helen Lorraine It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Helen, peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday October 27, 2016. Born Helen Hurt on May 28, 1950 in Toronto. Dearly loved and cherished by her husband Jim (JC) and children Jamie and Leanne Connor. Dearest sister of Suzanne (Brian), Michael (Carol), and Peter, and treasured aunt to Daniel, Rebecca, and Seth. Caring stepmother to Leeanne (Fenton), Shane (Helen), and Kenneth (Sandra), and loving grandmother of Jimmy Lee, Dallas, Alisha, Wade, Clayton, Katie, Shannon, and great grandmother of Owen, Mia, Sophie, and Zoey. Predeceased by her beloved mother Marion Carter and father Robert Hurt. Helen was a devoted employee and fierce advocate for her clients at Community Living Peterborough for 28 years. She was a woman of action, who deeply loved her family, her garden, and creating beautiful spaces. She will be missed by her extended family, Curve Lake neighbours, and many lifelong friends. Helen and her family were grateful for the care and compassion shown to her by Dr. Mallory and the nursing staff of PRHC Palliative Care. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Tuesday November 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
