MacBeath: David Gordon
Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday November 13, 2016. David MacBeath of Ennismore in his 88th year. David was raised in Tide Head, New Brunswick and moved to Peterborough in 1957 to work at General Electric. He remained there until 1961 when he began working at Milltronics where he rose to the position of Canadian National Sales Manager. He was a lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens and enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends. David’s greatest love, however, was his family and he sacrificed so much over the years to be an excellent husband, father and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all those he knew. Loved and missed by his wife of 54 years, Arlene (LeFave). Also missed by his son John MacBeth of Ottawa and daughter Lianne MacBeath of Bridgenorth. Dear grandfather of Ryan Hrycyna. Survived by his sister-in-law Jeanette LeFave and brothers-in-law Frank Nadeau, Guy Levesque, Frank (Mary) LeFave and Paul (Elizabeth) LeFave. Predeceased by his parents David and Amy MacBeath, sisters Margaret Harrison (Glen), Isobel Nadeau, Shirley Levesque and brother-in-law Laverne LeFave. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Thursday November 17, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, Ennsimore, on Friday November 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at St. Martin’s Cemetery followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
