Rev'd Bill Bartlett posted a condolence
Wednesday, January 11, 2017
Peggy, Bobby Kirk, Matthew, Wayne, Chris and all the Fillier families,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you tomorrow as you celebrate Bob's rich life. We have been dear friends over the past 50 years and supported each other personally and in our ministry. Bob was a compassionate pastor, justice seeking minister and skilled administrator, who cared deeply for the United Church of Canada and its mission. Each one of you know, that he was a loving partner, dad, father-in-law, grand father, son, brother, uncle, co-worker, neighbour and friend. May God's gentle spirit bring you comfort and peace, during your season of grief.
Love and Blessings,
Bill Bartlett & Carolann Kennedy

Peggy, Bob Kirk, Matthew, Wayne, Chris and Families
Sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. He was not only a relative but a friend. During the past few years contact with him was not frequent. But, whenever we met there was always laughter, and an exchange of stories that renewed our kindred spirits. Three family occasions when Bobby officiated as a Minister bring forth lasting memories for us. Our son Brian's wedding, Mom's ( Bobby's Aunt Dulcie) funeral, and Matthew's Ordination into the United Church Ministry.
I (Tom) had the pleasure of teaching Bobby in Grade eleven in the mid 60's. Then In 1968-69 Bobby, a young aspiring University student, boarded with us in St. John's. These carefree days have not been forgotten.
Ah the memories!
We hope that your memories of him are a source of comfort during this time of grief and loss.
May God's blessings be with all of you.
Shirley and Tom
