I was sad to hear about Aunt Beatrice’s illness but moved, like many others, by how courageous and thoughtful she remained until the end. My apologies for not being able to be there with the rest of the family. I’m thinking of you now, and running through many fond childhood memories.
With love, Michael

When I was going through a very painful, difficult time in my life after my third year university, Beatrice listened to me without judgement. She was always very kind, welcoming and hospitable to Mike and I. In all the years that I knew her, Beatrice and I never exchanged an angry word. We were so thrilled that she visited us in Kentville, NS with Rena, Donna and Lianne. She loved trying new foods and had a wonderful sense of humour. My last conversation with her was about this visit.

Our sincere sympathies to Beatrice's family. Beatrice was a school chum at Cameron St. School and later Kenner Collegiate. We started kindergarten at the same time and our close-knit group of friends enjoyed birthday parties, skating parties (at the Locklin's) after school baseball and later in life, get-togethers with our mothers. I won't forget Beatrice's quiet, soft-spoken demeanor and her great talent with stained-glass art work. They are treasures now. She spoke fondly of her family and I know she will be greatly missed. Wonderful memories of good times with friends will remain with us and she will hold a special place in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Karen and Bob Shouldice

We want you to know that Aunt Beatrice's example, in facing her illness, has given all four of us a lasting admiration for her courage and grace. Our hearts have been touched deeply and forever by the beauty of her spirit in the face of her suffering. I can only hope to face the end of my life with some of the dignity she has shown.
Donna, what a blessing from God you have been to you dear mother and father at this time. It warms my heart that you and Uncle Glen, Brian and her closest family members surrounded her with love, devotion, compassion, and attentive care in her home. This family bond of love and devotion is the beauty we can cling to out of the great sadness and grief.
May the knowledge that you were blessed to share your lives with a precious and extraordinary woman bring you rest, peace, and comfort in the days and years ahead.
Love Carol, Will, Thomas, and Lauren Rado

Dear Uncle Glen, Donna , Brian and Family: Thinking of you, at this time and wishing I was closer to be with you all. I have many good memories of Aunt Beatrice, and the times spent over the years. Her magnificent cakes, her gentle manor and always a good cup of tea at her kitchen table. I look at the stained glass humming birds in my garden window and think of home. She will be missed by so many of us, who's lives she touched over the years. Her passion for her goats, her glass, her family and her open door will forever stay in our memories. Love Colleen
