I was sorry to hear the passing of Fergie. He was such a happy man and was always smiling. It was a sad day at Whitney Child Centre when he retired. I have worked there since 1988 and Fergie always was so positive. We would talk about horses , even though I wasn't a racing fan it didn't matter. I worked the the horse industry for 15 years and he love the funny stories I would tell him.
I was happy for him that he was retiring to such a beautiful area in Ontario. He was a very kind man and I'm lucky he was in my life and made work fun.

Aunt Jean
You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am happy to have many memories to think of. I remember buying dad his subscription of the Canadian Horseman for years and dad and Uncle Bruce both got good use from it.
I love that I know who to place the bet on at the track. I am sure he and his brothers are placing wagers. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Love Shelley

Uncle Bruce,
I will always hear your laugh and see your smile.
However, I will definitely miss you and especially your horse stories and your garage sales finds!!! WOW what is Aunt Jean to do with your 1 million garage sale finds? In retrospect, you should have taken a photo and written down all your stories of your garage sales trips & purchases and created a garage sale TOMB!!!
I'm lucky and blessed to have had such a wonderful uncle.
I know you will find a race track in heaven (if dad hasn't already)!
I will definitely place a bet on #11 in the sixth race every time I go to the races. What the hell do I do if #11 is scratched???? LOL
Go with God Uncle Bruce and remember to be Aunt Jean's guardian angel.
Love Always Arlene & John Higgins

I remember Fergie from my time as a teacher at Central tech. He was always friendly and willing to help even when my football team would make a mess in the dressing room. We both enjoyed horse racing and he was my expert handicapper. RIP.
