Growing up having the Crawford's as neighbours I could always count on Mel to greet me when riding the horse past their house with a treat for the horse & smile for me. In later years whenever I would meet Mel he always would stop & ask about Mom & Dad, always with a smile. I will never forget that smile. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Condolences to the Crawford family.
