Obituary of Phyllis Edna Kindy

KINDY, Phyllis Edna Passed away in Hastings, Ontario on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at 91 years of age. Phyllis was born in Dauphin Manitoba where she met and married Alden Kindy. They later moved to Niagara Falls where Phyllis worked for many years in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry. Phyllis’s passion was to “help the ladies”. She tirelessly cared for friends and among other awards, she received the Ontario Volunteer Service Award for an incredible 45 years of volunteering with GNGH and Dorchester Manor. Her love of entertaining was well known by many friends and family throughout the years who all enjoyed her outstanding home cooking and baking. She was a dedicated member of Main Street Baptist Church and the KISELO Women’s Group. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Alden (d 1984), and beloved mother of Carole Porter (Cliff) of Hastings, Ontario. Greatly loved grandmother of Cheryl (Delfo) and Christine (Czartowski, Adam), Mississauga and great-grandmother of Delfo and Rainer Hagen and Aiden and Grace Czartowski. Beloved sister of Maxine Sawchyn (Thunder Bay) and Beryl Byers (BC). A Graveside Service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls on May 13, 2017 at 11am.
