I never got to spend very much time with my Uncle Dave, so I never got to know him well. To me, Uncle Dave seemed to live his life on his terms. He had strong opinions, was outspoken, and was practical. He had a tenacious spirit, but was also fair.
He loved his home on the lake. I have fond memories of my visit there as a child. No one can ever say that he wasn't independent in thought, action, and direction, but he was also very generous with his family. Thanks to this generosity, I was able to put new windows in my home, and Jessica has a solid base to depend on when she continues with her education.
RIP, Uncle Dave
