Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C. on Wednesday August 16, 2017.  Ellen Stone of R.R. #1 Apsley in her 94th year.  Beloved wife of the late Elwood Stone (1990).  Loving mother of Richard Stone (Sheila) of Peterborough, Carol Ann Wilson (Lorne) of Warkworth and Barry Stone (Lynda Ouellette) of Apsley.  Dear grandmother of Boyd Wilson, Angela Manley, Crystal Wilson, Sherry Beardsley and Michael Stone.  Remembered by 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.  Survived by her sisters Leitha Carr, Pauline Slater and Phyllis Slater and brother Rodney McCormick.  Predeceased by her parents Myrtle & John, son Raymond, grandson Riley, brothers Manley, Howard, Wilfred and Leonard and sisters Eliza & Luella.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Sunday August 20, 2017 from 1-4 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday August 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM.  Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lakefield.  Memorial donations may be made to the C.N.I.B. or Trinity United Church, Apsley as expressions of sympathy.  Friends may send condolences or make donations by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
