IRVINE: Robert Lochead “Bob”

Passed away peacefully at P.R.H.C., with his family by his side, on Sunday, November 19, 2017, in his 77th year.  Bob enjoyed a rewarding career as a math teacher at Thomas A. Stewart S.S., in Peterborough.  Upon his retirement, he was able to dedicate himself to his passion of farming.  He was an adored 'Papa' to his grandchildren and a valued mentor to many.  He lived his life without regret.  Loved and missed by his wife of 52 years, Gail (nee Shipton), and his children Robin Brown (Paul) of Oakwood and Mark (Wanda Knowlton) of Selwyn.  Beloved Papa to Allison, John and Matthew Brown and Cameron Irvine.  He will be lovingly remembered by the Shipton and White families of Ottawa.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Words of remembrance will begin at 2:30 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy by memorial donation may be made in memory of Bob Irvine to 4-H Ontario (designated to the Peterborough County Sheep Club) or the Ontario Sheep Farmers Scholarship Fund through www.hendrenfuneralhome.com, 705-652-3355.
