Obituary of Frederick Arthur Gordon Davey

DAVEY: Frederick     

Passed away at St. Joseph at Fleming Nursing Home, Peterborough on Thursday December 28, 2017.  Fred Davey of Lakefield in his 81^st year.  Fred was a longtime employee of Outboard Marine Corporation in Peterborough.  Loving husband of the late Rhoda Davey (nee Trotter).  Cherished dad of Greg (Cindy) of Warsaw, Tracey Brooks (Rick) of Port Hope, Gord (Linda) of Hamilton and Troy (Amelia) of Kingston.  Grandpa will always be loved and remembered by Dillon Brooks (Shannon), Andy Davey, Kyle Brooks (Stephanie), Sarah Davey (John Galvin), Cory Brooks, Brooke, Emma, Clair, Austen and Tyson Davey, Evalyn Shangraw, and by his great grandchildren Ariel, Sheldyn, Lily and Ella.  Survived by his sister Noreen Kowalchuk (Mike).  Predeceased by his parents Edward and Della, sisters Helen, Leitha, Doris, Hazel, Teresa, Evelyn and Eleanor and his brothers John, Bob and Garnet.  A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held on Sunday January 7, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Niels Pind Room of the Lakefield-Smith Community Centre, 20 Concession St., Lakefield.  Memories will be shared at 2:30 PM.  Memorial donations may be made to the Lakefield Chiefs Junior ‘C’ Hockey Club and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
