BRYEN: Kenneth D. “Aussie”
Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1933, he passed away at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday January 3, 2018. Aussie Bryen of Lakefield in his 85th year. Aussie will be remembered by many for his 28 years on the Trent Severn Waterway and as “Captain Aussie” of the tug, “Trent”. He founded and operated “Aquaducks” for over 30 years. Sadly missed by his wife Leona (nee Belfry). Also missed by his children Scott (Stan) of Edmonton, Chris (Susan) of Oshawa, Shelley (Kelly) of Ottawa and Neal (Melissa) of Kingston. Grandpa is remembered by Alicia, Michael, Emily, Hannah, Thomas and Bryen. Predeceased by his parents Ian and Doreen and brother Ron. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Friday January 5, 2018 from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 3:30 PM. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home.
