Dear James, Margaret Ann and Family....so sorry to learn of your dear Mom and grandma's passing. She lived a long and meaningful life giving back to the community she loved so much. She was a proud Canadian and Canada Day was one of her favourite days. Marg was the Canada Day Queen and she fought hard and succeeded in being at Canada's 150 birthday celebration which made it extra special. We had many good times with her and she will be greatly missed. Sorry we could not be there for her Celebration of Life. Cheers Marg !

Marg was an exceptional woman with many accomplishments and above all a wonderful sense of humour. Even as she aged, she maintained her young at heart approach to life.

So sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I met Margaret when I became Zone Commander F-2 in 1998. She was a guiding light for me the new kid on the block. She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed a good joke and always had time for my questions. Just the other day I came across a picture of the 5 Zone Commanders in District F. Brought back wonderful memories. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

THE BEST PHRASE TO DESCRIBE AUNT MARG IS " ENJOYMENT
PROVIDER ". FROM THE MANY FAMILY REUNIONS THAT SHE AND UNCLE
LEO HOSTED AT THE LAKE TO JUST DROPPING BY FOR A VISIT YOU NOT
ONLY FELT WELCOME BUT LIKE ROYALTY. AUNT MARG COINED THE
SONG THAT BECAME THE ANTHEM OF THE ENTIRE MCLEAN FAMILY (
"LET'S HAVE A PARTY " ) AS THE OLDEST MCCLEAN NEPHEW ,WHEN
I HEARD OF HER PASSING THE FIRST QUESTION THAT HIT ME WAS "HOW
DO WE REPLACE HER ? ".THE ANSWER IS QUITE SIMPLE ,YOU DON'T ,
ONE JUST EMULATES HER AS BEST YOU CAN.
THANKS FOR ALL OUR LIFE MEMORIES ,AUNT MARG ,YOU HAVE TRULY
LEFT A MAJOR LIFE LESSON FOR ALL OF US .

Dear Margaret Anne and Jamie,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. I remember your Mother and your Dad with great fondness. They had me babysit both of you many times when you were little and I was in high school. I'm not sure if you remember that! Your Mom and Dad were always very supportive and interested in people. I was not aware of all your Mom's committee work in town but clearly she left big shoes to fill. I think most of all I remember her love of people, of parties and her zest in getting folks together, getting things going.
Please know that although I am unable to be in Bobcaygeon on Friday morning that both of you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you say goodbye to your Mom - a character, a good soul.
Condolences and kind thoughts from an old friend.

Rest In Peace Marg! My most sincere condolences...
The Silent Tear
Just close your eyes and you will see
All the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax and you will find
I’m really still there inside your mind
Don’t cry for me now I’m gone
For I am in the land of song
There is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away that silent tear
Don’t think of me in the dark and cold
For here I am, no longer old
I’m in that place that’s filled with love
Known to you all as “up above”
