Obituary of C. Nelson Northey

NORTHEY: C. Nelson

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Port Hope, on Wednesday April 4, 2018.  Nelson and Karen enjoyed life on their farm in Selwyn where he was able to spend his days outdoors surrounded by nature.  He will be remembered as a caring pastor to many of the area and as a faithful servant to God.  Nelson was predeceased by his loving wife Karen (nee Reynolds) on February 9, 2018.  He is loved and missed by his children Tracey Hernandez of Peterborough, Kelly Robert (André) of Port Hope, Perry Northey (Missy) of Alliston and Mike Burns (Lianne) of Peterborough.  Loving Poppa and Papa Barn of Wesley, Travis (Ipsita), Caitlin, Jade (Timo), Jes, Brodey, Stihl and Christian and by great grandchildren Isaiah and Clarke.  Also survived by his sisters Donna Rawlinson of Toronto, Linda McLeod (Brian) of Lindsay, Shirley Pavy (Roger) of Peterborough and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Beatrice, son Larry, daughter Janet and sister Nancy.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Monday April 16, 2018, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held at Selwyn Outreach Centre, 2686 Lakefield Road, on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM.  A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
