I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lovely and eloquent Sally (Selma) Moodie.
I have so many fond memories of her. Sally was an excellent health conscious cook; a wonderful baker of pie, avid gardener and the best ever picnic basket food maker in the world that I have ever encountered!! She loved her picnic basket lunches by the river and lake best! Along with being a doting Mother, Nanny and caring Mother-in Law, she was funny, witty and had a great sense of humor! She was just a lovely person inside and out. She was forever smiling and laughing especially when her “Johnny” was around!! Although David, Amanda and Shawn where separated by miles, they were always on her mind and inquired of them frequently. Kristian adored his Nanny and misses her very much. She loved to reminisce about her Father, Hans Cristian and her early childhood years as well. Sally’s light will be forever dimmed but her memory will be held in my heart forever. She is finally reunited with her husband Jack whom she missed very much (2017), daughter Mary Ann, grand daughter Paisley and brother Robert. Rest in peach Sally.
