Obituary of Barbara Mary Rodgers

RODGERS: Barbara Mary (nee Trude)

Passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday May 22, 2018.  Barb Rodgers of Lakefield in her 85^th year.  Barb began her nursing career as a Nursing Assistant at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and it was here that she met her husband Sid Rodgers (d. 1999).  She retired from nursing after having served as an R.P.N. for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Peterborough.  Loved and missed by her sisters-in-law Mary Trude (the late Bill) of Buckhorn, Mary Rodgers-Dunn (the late Rupert) of Kingston and Anna Rodgers (the late Jim) of New Brunswick.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Sunday May 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM.  Visitation two hours prior to the service.  A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home.  Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lakefield.  Memorial donations may be made to the P.R.H.C.
