This is such a shock to me this morning, Sept. 6, 2018. I've been trying for the past few days to phone Nell to wish her happy birthday, but calls not going through to that area. Something prompted me to check online and here I found Nell's obituary. I couldn't believe what I was reading, was this really my good friend. Definitely not a good way to find out you've lost such a dear friend.
I've known Nell since 1966 and we were very close throughout all those years - a lifetime. Nell was godmother to my daughter also. One of my more humour memories of Nell was her insisting that I never cut my daughter's hair ever again, after seeing the terrible haircut I had given her. That I was to always bring my daughter to Nell to have it done properly ... and I did.
Nell loved her friends at the centre and her little cat, Nikki and always missing her beloved Bob. I will always treasure our friendship, and among other things, will always miss her great laugh - she was a treasure. Sending love and light to you, Nell. xo xo xo
