I met John when I first got into the insurance industry. He was very good to me. As a woman in very much a man's world, John treated me with great respect. He always made everyone around him feel like a friend. He offered to help me in any way he could and we always had great fun when at an event. His smile said it all, a great sense of humour and a very kind person. He will be missed in the community but in our industry as well. Judy, Patty, Allan and families. Karen and I were saddened to hear of John's passing. We'll miss the friendly smile and a waive when I'd meet him driving or a joke in the office. I was thinking how long I have known John and it goes back to my teen years and when he was the bank manager. Then when we moved back to the area in 1995, he was one of the first people we reconnected with to get our insurance for our new home and cars. I recall in the 80's, I hadn't saw him in a few years, but walking down a street in Banff Alberta, there he was and it was just like old friends running into each other. Always a smile and happy to see you. Rest in Peace, John. You will be missed by your family and your community.
