Obituary of Doris Alvina Burns

Passed away peacefully on Sunday July 1, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Grant for almost 62 years, loving mother of Steven (Kathi), Larry (Karen), Jenny McEwen (Steve Pitchford) and Debra Barnett (Beau), cherished grandma of Ryley (Melissa), Rory, Troy, Emily, Jannah, Brittany, Jordyn, Matthew, Katrina (Patrick), Sam and Lucas, and much loved great grandma of Sophie, Emma and Hunter. Predeceased by infant son Jeffrey (d. 1960), parents Stanley and Alvina, siblings Wilbert (Dorothy), Alma (Don), Beatrice (John), June (Joe & Randy), Fred (surviving spouse Lydia), Jim (Margaret) and Diane (Marv). Survived by siblings Betty (Murray), Orvis (Judy (d.) and Jean), Janet (Ray (d.), Barbara (Morley) and Roger (Louise).  Friends and relatives will be received at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL Wednesday July 4^th, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and Thursday July 5^th, from 2:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM. Interment Sandy Lake Cemetery.
