Doug was the first person who welcomed us into the Demers Road neighbourhood when we built our house in 2003. He was the ‘elder statesman’ of the neighbourhood and helped to build what became a supportive community, hosting delightful Christmas events and community gatherings to welcome new folks who moved in. Doug’s love and support of his family was an inspiration to us and we were so sorry to see Doug and Lynn leave Demers Road and the beautiful house they built there. Our thoughts and best wishes to the Utter family.
Our heartfelt condolences,
Myke & Carolyn

I am truly sorry to hear of Doug's passing. Doug was a mentor for me when I work with him in the mid 1980 as I managed the monthly promotional activity in National Retail Marketing Department . He gave excellent guidance to all and was a gentle, kind, knowledgeable leader who was highly respected.
