BEAVIS: Ralph W. “Beav”

Passed away suddenly at his cottage with his wife Tracey by his side on Saturday October 6, 2018.  Ralph Beavis of Buckhorn in his 65th year.  Ralph was the proud owner and founder of Nash Sports in Buckhorn since 1993 where he became very well respected in the professional hockey industry.  When not at work or the rink, he could be found at his cottage, often working on projects outdoors.  For the past number of years, he and Tracey enjoyed spending time in Florida where they made many friends.  Ralph is loved and missed by his wife of 34 years, Tracey (nee Windover).  Cherished dad of Troy (Robyn) and Alyssa Banks (Mike), both of Buckhorn.  Special “Pa” of Harvey and Clyde who Ralph and a very special bond with.  He loved to take them on ‘go arounds’ at the cottage and play his guitar for them.  Also sadly missed by his sister Shelly Kocjan (Ed) of Lakefield and several nieces and nephews.  Remembered by his many friends from the “Buckhorn Safety Meetings”.  Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Bernice.  A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held at the Buckhorn Community Centre, 1782 Lakehurst Rd., Buckhorn, on Friday October 19, 2018 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM.  Memories will be shared at 5:00 PM.  Memorial donations may be made to Lakefield and District Minor Hockey Association (L.D.M.H.A.) as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
