Dear Marg,
We are deeply saddened to hear of cousin Rick's passing. My siblings and I,as the youngest cousins looked up to him as he regaled us with stories of his escapades or played the guitar and sang...what a voice he had!. We loved his visits to Virgil during his Air Force years. The Leamington and Riverside visits are still very strong memories.
Rick chose to accept whatever came his way with grace and dignity; his strong faith and his love for you carried him through his many health issues. So many have been affected by how he lived his life.
You were such a team; we can't imagine the pain of your loss, having been blessed with so many years together. May you feel the love and support of your many friends and family. We love you and hold you in our hearts.
Love Ruth and Bob

I will miss my Ricky, always a joy to visit. I remember our singing to the TV, our man bashing which he took in the humour we meant it, My smothering as he called it but he always was open to everything except to wash the face ...causes wrinkles and he did look fabulous so he must have something there! Loved our chats and I will miss seeing his adored Marg on a regular basis too. I am heartbroken we couldn’t have had him in our lives longer. I know I have a Angel with just a touch of wicked on my side. Love Margo

Dear Rick,
When I first saw you in your AirForce uniform almost 60 years ago, I thought you were the most handsome man I had ever met. With your ready smile and your easy laugh, you gathered everyone into your circle and you held their rapt attention. All the fun songs we as a family would sing while you played guitar or autoharp, now bring memories flooding back. The Harvey family Christmases, the summer picnics and all the get-togethers we enjoyed kept our family close. You were my hero. You laughed through your pain, most of the time and you always praised God. Many people have been blessed by your testimony and the beautiful songs you sang together with Marg. You have been a special reminder to all your friends that true love can abide when you have the wonderful care and companionship of so wonderful a person as my sister, Marg. Together, despite the difficult times, you preserved and were truly blessed to live such a full life as a witness for how God works in a man and moulds the clay to His will. You indeed lived your life “God’s Way.”
