ROOKE: Shirley Josephine

Passed away peacefully at Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood, on Friday November 9, 2018.  Shirley (nee Martin) of R.R. #1 Apsley in her 87^th year.  Beloved wife of the late Harvey Raymond Rooke (1991).  Loving mother of Shirley Bragg (Gary) of Elora, Brenda Keeping (Larry) of Toronto and Jim Rooke of Apsley.  Cherished Nan of Jamie Bragg (Karolina) and Brittany Bragg, Jessica Micieli (Sam), Amanda Stachowski and Adam and Emily Whitmore.  Loving great grandmother of Sofie, Layla, Emma, Kara, Lily & Audrey.  Sister of Stanley Martin (the late Shirley).  Predeceased by daughter Cindy Whitmore, grandson Jeffrey Stachowski, brothers Joe and Bob Martin and sister Dorothy Couch (Lorne).  A funeral service will be held from Trinity United Church, Apsley on Thursday November 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM.  Visitation to commence one hour prior to the service.  Interment Apsley Union Cemetery.  A reception will follow at Trinity United Church.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy.  Friends may send condolences or make donations by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
